Dr. Mary Kirschner

Post-Doctoral Therapist

Dr. Kirschner is a post-doctoral therapist providing therapy to adults virtually. Her background and areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, trauma, and health related issues such as ongoing physical issues and solid organ transplant processes.  

Her approach is collaborative in nature as she promotes overall personal wellness while helping clients work toward their goals. Dr. Kirschner is flexible and adaptable regarding the unique needs of each individual client. She integrates the use of therapeutic approaches such as traditional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to challenge unhelpful thoughts about the self, others, and situations all while helping clients identify personal strengths that will facilitate change and move towards values and goals. 

Dr. Kirschner received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago, IL. She has been practicing in the field for over 10 years across a myriad of clinical settings, including Veterans Affairs hospitals and clinics, private hospitals, and private practice settings. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Illinois Psychological Association.
