Alyson is a Pre-Licensed Professional who provides therapy to adults in-person and
virtually. Alyson has experience helping those with depression, anxiety, career changes,
grief, LGBTQ+ issues, and other life transitions. She utilizes both Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques while
keeping an open-minded and non-judgmental perspective.
It can be hard for people to get through life’s challenges on their own and they may find
themselves needing extra help. Alyson is here to provide that support in times of need.
Alyson believes each session should be individualized to meet a client’s specific needs.
The therapeutic relationship and environment are crucial for setting a solid
foundation for the therapeutic process and Alyson uses these foundations to work
collaboratively toward each client’s goals. She understands that her life experiences
may not be the same as her clients, but she works to approach therapy from each
client’s perspective. Therapy can seem overwhelming, but Alyson is here to help ease
new clients into therapy and start where they are comfortable.
Alyson received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt
University and is a National Certified Counselor. She received her bachelor’s degree in
Psychology from Missouri State University.
